This review is from: THERMOS Shuttle Chef KPS-8000 8L Thermal Cooker Vacuum Pot Slow Cooker Extremely happy with cooker. Delivered quickly and arrived in excellent shape. This size is really for large group cooking...great for camp outs or off the grid. If you have a heat source to boil water you can cook with this. I made up my own recipe with fresh chicken, onion, garlic, celery, rice, noodles, macaroni, carrots, rutabega, mushrooms, bouillon cube, various spices, water and salt and pepper. I just cleaned out the fridge The only negative is that I have not found a lot of usable recipes to follow that work for my family....not a problem if you are creative and willing to test new made up concoctions. You can follow some regular crock pot recipes....but be willing to adjust and adapt to the cooker.
